Hellebore
This tough looking winter/spring flower seems to look the most like itself in the dark. I first met this plant in the New England region of the US, but it can be found in gardens all over. I don't know if it feeds any local pollinators, it is deadly poisonous to people and other animals, and it isn't a great companion plant as far as I know, I didn't hire this plant to do any specific job. I'm just kind of fond of her, just like having her around. Was thrilled to find her sick and leggy at a local nursery's last-chance-sale table, and she's been sending me winter blooms ever since.
